NAEH Conference Presentation by CACTI’s Carolyn Hanesworth
Last week, CACTI Consultant and Trainer, Carolyn Hanesworth, presented at the National Alliance to End Homelessness (NAEH) Ending Homelessness: A Virtual Conference with Amber Freeman, Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator from the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness (CCEH) and Randy Grant, Program Manager at New Reach, a nonprofit in Connecticut that has implemented CTI-Rapid Rehousing. The title of the presentation was Improving Rapid Rehousing Outcomes Using Critical Time Intervention and it provided background and history of CTI, as well as, a report from CCEH on the benefits of CTI in programs across Connecticut. Randy presented a report on his experiences as a supervisor implementing CTI at New Reach, revealing that according to HMIS data, 144 out of 165 clients have remained housed since the implementation of CTI, with a 13% return to shelter rate.
