CTI featured at international practice research conference
The Third International Conference on Practice Research in social work was held in June at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in NYC. Danielle Lako and Renée de Vet presented preliminary findings from a recently completed randomized trial in the Netherlands in which CTI was used to help homeless persons and women in domestic violence shelters. A second session featured presentations by two CACTI advisory board members: Rufina Lee described a proposed study that will systematically engage practitioners in describing key elements of the CTI model; Fang-Pei Chen presented data from a qualitative study that investigated the ways in which practitioners implement CTI and how their work is influenced by organizational factors.
